About the editors
Turns out the second half doesn’t come with a manual. So we’re writing one.
We’re here to help you work out whether you want one. Or just a different address for a season.
We, the GenXpat Life editors
We’re anonymous Gen Xers who’ve done the trial seasons and the paperwork. [TO CONFIRM] We know the appeal of a different everyday life—and the less photogenic questions about the house, the mail, and the medication refill.
This is an editorial project, not a personal brand. No founder story to buy into. Just useful tools, clear questions, and a healthy respect for everything you’d be leaving behind.
The process, not the postcode
We help you decide whether to go, how to test the idea, and what to get in order before you leave. We make checklists, worksheets, ebooks and planners for the bit between “What if?” and locking the front door.
We’re not experts on every town. For country-specific research, we point readers to International Living. For legal, tax, immigration and financial decisions, check official sources and consult qualified professionals.
Our editorial standards
- Show the trade-offs, not just the attractive bits.
- Separate personal experience, general guidance and factual claims.
- Mark unverified factual draft content with [TO CONFIRM].
- Disclose affiliate relationships wherever an affiliate offer appears.
- Never let a commission change what we say.
- Keep the reader’s next sensible step at the center.
Second half. New adventures. Same ability to spot nonsense.
